I offer instruction for the beginner wishing to play as quickly as possible without learning to read standard music notation.

I work with each student to meet their individual needs and desires.

My intention is to teach the basics of guitar playing, like how to place your fingers on the strings, how to hold a pick, economy of movement, and many of the small but important techniques that if not learned properly can make playing tougher than it should be, and can be a pain to unlearn. Learning these things correctly the first time can save much time and frustration, and my goal here is to keep you playing.

I won't drown you in theory and hundreds of chords. I want you to feel the joy of playing a song for the first time. It's going to hurt a bit at first, but the guitar gives back exactly what you put into it.
